Fibrelight Emergency Ladders To Be Used In Arctic Conditions

October 2018

The Fibrelight Emergency Ladder has now been tested for arctic conditions and can be used in temperatures as cold as -68 Degrees Celsius (°C). The SOLAS approved ladders which are manufactured in the UK have been extremely popular in the maritime industry and have recently been delivered to MOL LNG (E) for use on their arctic vessels.

Business Development Manager for Fibrelight, Matthew Adams says ‘It is a privilege to supply to such a well-respected company as MOL. Our products can heighten safety in the shipping industry and now that they have also been proven to operate in the harshest of conditions, we will hopefully see them aboard many more ships’.

The ladders can be made up to 60m long; they require no servicing, are exceptionally lightweight, easy to stow and are bespoke – they are unlike any other ladders available on the market. From cruise ships to ice breakers, the Fibrelight Emergency Ladders can be used on all vessels.
