We are justifiably proud of our manufacturing skills. Employing over 50 experienced and talented personnel, a consistently high quality product is ensured from first to last from the production line. The conventional heavy duty sewing machines are complemented by a diverse selection of highly specialised machinery. By a concentration of investment in the factory over many years, CQC has ensured that virtually all aspects of manufacture are completely handled in house.

The demands of manufacturing textile products, requires a combination of both traditional skills by our experienced operatives together with the maximum use of technology such as CAD planning of cutting guides, automated stitching machines, as well as specialist cutting machines, heat welding and our own in house automated quilting machines.

Schedules and budgetary controls form as essential part of any contract to both client and manufacturer. In order to maintain a tight control over both these important aspects of production, as well as an assurance of a firm control over quality CQC has invested in an extensive range and variety of equipment, both standard and specialist machinery, essential to the smooth running and maintenance of a wide range of manufacturing products. Thus retaining full control over virtually every aspect of production schedules with our own management team.

Manufacturing is undertaken both at our well equipped factory in North Devon and our offshore facilities. Operating extensively world-wide we specialise in the manufacture of products for the defence forces, such as Sleeping Systems, Load Carriage and Personal Protective Equipment.

In addition to these textile products which form a major part of the soldier's basic equipment, there has, over recent years been an increasing demand for the design and development for specialist items. Such as Radio Carriers, Weapon Carriers, Load Bearing Vests and Body Armour Enhancements which have been very well received.

From our development work in this area, CQC has gained an enviable reputation for design and prototype production, meeting customers' requirements world-wide. Indeed world-wide exports now account for a significant proportion of CQC's business.

Due to the company's very close link with the British Ministry of Defence much of the standard product range are made to UK MoD designs and carry appropriate NATO stock numbers for which the company holds the appropriate commercial expolitation licenses to promote and sell overseas. In recognition of this link CQC has been awared numerous enabling contracts by the UK MoD thereby sharing and contributing to the design and development of UK MoD products.

Additionally the company in its own right has gained an enviable reputation through its development, design and prototyping facility for meeting customers requirements worldwide. Indeed, exports now account for a significant proportion of the company's business.
