The key to the success of CQC has been our R&D department, which thanks to its efficient operation, offers both economically costed products, and an opportunity to develop unique solutions, to individual requirements. This may be as simple as a weight restriction, or a specific material requirement, through to the creation of a unique feature, such as the recently developed 'quick release system' for rucksacks. Or even the full development of a unique item required for a specific piece of military equipment.

Our design team are fully experienced with the creation of equipment for the military user, and subsequently are fully familiar with the demands and needs of the Soldier. All items are assessed for fitness of purpose in our own workshops with the creation of prototypes. With prototype samples being available for the customer for their own field trials.

Commonly the design team is briefed and supplied will all of the relevant components in order that the item can be developed as realistically as possible. Every aspect of the items use will be tested, retested and adjusted prior to final prototype (including weight testing to seams & webbing) thus ensuring maximum quality is maintained throughout.

The design and development of products for the Military user, uses a combination of techniques, from the conventional traditions of bespoke tailoring to the use of Information technology and CAD design process.
